Kittur Rani Channamma Residential School for Girls is located at Kittur which is situated midway between Hubli and Belgaum on the Pune-Bangalore National highway. . It was established on September 17, 1969, in memory of Rani Channamma, the great queen of Kittur.The school campus, spread over 200 acres, is situated at a distance of 3 km from Kittur, on the hills, 780 metres above the sea level. Besides a spacious and well equipped academic block, the campus also consists of large playgrounds, a swimming pool, auditorium and gymnasium.
The school is affiliated to the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board which conducts the Standard X SSLC Examination and the Karnataka Pre Universities Examination Board which conduct the Standard XII PUC Examination. It follows the syllabus prescribed by these Boards. The school is a member of the Indian Public Schools Conference.
