“Education is a Social Process;
education is growth;
education is not a
preparation for life but is life itself”
- John Dewey
Modern Education system in India has been characterized by rapid growth of knowledge. For the past few decades, the primary purpose of some of the best schools and colleges in India has been to provide maximum amount of knowledge. In this process the practical applicability of this knowledge has been ignored. The extent to which the information gained in School will help the students in facing the challenges posed by life situations is a matter that needs to be addressed. Furthermore, the question of sensitivity towards human values and goals, which is an important requisite for the existence of civilized society, also requires attention from Schools.
A good School according to my Concept should make every effort to impart education
Which include values, attitudes, priority, nationalism, the sense of empathy towards others and an inclination to help those in need, understanding one’s duty towards the community, environment consciousness and attitude towards religion and also an attitude towards behaviors/roles ascribed to each individuals by the Society.
